Salary: £27,500 – £28,500 DOE, plus performance related bonus (up to 10% of salary)

21 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (additional holiday accrued for LOS).

Overview

We are seeking a Care Coordinator to join our Care Team in Bromley to maintain a quality homecare service to those we support in the local community.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Good understanding of the needs of people who need care and support.
  • Excellent organisational skills – proven ability to plan and arrange workloads effectively so that customers receive the services they expect and are safe.
  • Ability to maintain clear and accurate written records and follow statutory reporting procedures.
  • Good administrative and IT skills; high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and build positive working relationships with customers, their families, staff and other health and social care professionals; good telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of what confidentiality means in relation to homecare services and why this is important.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the local area (roads, routes, traffic levels).
  • Ability to think clearly when under pressure.
  • Comfortable using own initiative to solve problems or as part of a team, especially in an emergency.

Additional Requirements

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills including computer literacy.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in the social care sector (preferably 1 year or more) and an excellent understanding of how to deliver safe and effective care to customers at home.
  • A satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly the Criminal Records Bureau).
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Class 1 business insurance and current MOT (if using own car for business purposes).
