Responsibilities

  • Person-Centred Support
  • Actively involve younger individuals in planning and reviewing their support needs and goals, ensuring their support plan reflects their preferences.
  • Empower each younger person to make choices and maintain as much independence as possible, supporting decision-making in all areas of life.
  • Daily Living and Personal Care
  • Assist with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mealtime support, with respect for each person’s comfort and dignity.
  • Support individuals with shopping for personal items, clothing, groceries, and assist with meal planning and preparation.
  • Health and Well-Being
  • Assist with medication management and administration when required, maintaining accurate records as needed.
  • Encourage and support healthy eating, hydration, and meal preparation according to each individual’s dietary preferences.
  • Community and Social Engagement
  • Facilitate involvement in social, recreational, educational, and employment opportunities based on the individual’s interests.
  • Support with travel arrangements and accompany individuals on outings, holidays, and community activities as required.
  • Be a dependable, friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for

Requirements

  • *A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle*
  • You must hold a permanent, unrestricted Right to Work in the UK

  • Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Ability to follow care plans
  • Previous care experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided
