Female Care Assistant – switch of sponsorship available.
Location: Newbury and the surrounding areas (West Berkshire). Salary: £13.50 to £16.60 per hour, plus travel time at £13.50 per hour and mileage at 30p per mile.
Rota: Week 1 – Tuesday to Friday, 7am–10pm with a 2‑hour break each day. Week 2 – Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7am–10pm and Wednesday 7am–1pm with a 2‑hour break each day.
Requirements
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Confident driver (our customers live in rural areas)
- You must currently live in the West Berkshire area; relocation not accepted
- 6 months UK domestic care experience is essential
- DBS on the update service
- A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
- Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Ability to follow care plans & put the customer's needs at the forefront
- EOL experience & Dementia care experience essential
- Adaptability and commitment to the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
- Assist with personal care (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Help with meal prep, preparation and nutrition
- Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
- Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
- Be a dependable, friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for
