Bluebird Care Calderdale and Bradford is looking for kind, reliable people to join our team of Care Assistants, supporting customers in their own homes across Halifax and Brighouse.
You don't necessarily need previous care experience.
What matters most is that you're compassionate, dependable and comfortable helping people with the everyday things that allow them to stay safe, happy and independent at home.
Whether you're already working in care or looking for a completely new career, we'll give you the training and ongoing support you need.
Duties No two days in care are exactly the same.
You will visit customers in their own homes and provide support based on their individual needs.
This could include
- Helping with washing, dressing and other personal care
- Supporting customers with medication
- Preparing meals and helping with food and nutrition
- Helping with light housework, laundry and keeping the home comfortable
- Providing companionship and a friendly face
- Supporting customers to maintain their independence
- Following individual care plans and keeping accurate records
- Getting to know the people you support and noticing when something doesn't seem quite right Sometimes the most important part of the visit is simply taking the time to have a chat and make sure someone is okay.
The ideal candidate You don't need to have worked as a Care Assistant before, as full training will be provided.
You will need
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own car
- Applicants must have an existing and unrestricted right to work in the UK for this role.

- 25p mileage allowance per mile
- Flexible shift patterns
- Morning shifts from 7am–2pm
- Evening shifts from 4pm–10pm
- Full induction and ongoing training
- Uniform and PPE provided
