Responsibilities of a live‑in care assistant

  • Live in the customer\’s home for a defined period of time
  • Provide personal care duties
  • Administer medication
  • Manual handling, using equipment where required
  • Promote customer health and wellbeing
  • Companionship and help with activities/appointments
  • Plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals
  • Shopping and domestic tasks around the home

To become a live‑in care assistant you need

  • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not provided)
  • No experience required; full training is providedExcellent level of English
  • Age 18 or older
  • A driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential
