Who We Are
Founded in 2005, Bluebella was born from a simple idea to create luxurious and sensual lingerie for self‑assured women. Among the first in a new wave of female‑led underwear brands, Bluebella is a multi‑award‑winning label that paved the way for more realistic beauty standards and accessible luxury in lingerie. Founded on the belief that strength and sensuality belong in the everyday, Bluebella understands that beautiful lingerie sets a powerful tone for whatever comes next. We believe in bravery — encouraging fresh thinking, taking bold creative risks, and backing each other to push boundaries. We value intelligence — thoughtful decisions, curiosity, and commercial sharpness. And we lead with honesty — creating a culture of transparency, mutual respect and shared responsibility.
The Role
The Senior Copywriter is the voice of Bluebella. In this part‑time capacity, equivalent to around 1.5 days per week, you will own the copy that matters most: campaign concepts, brand storytelling, tone of voice. Your work will set the standard for how our customers experience the brand at every key touchpoint. This is not a role for someone who wants to write everything. It is a role for someone who wants to write the things that count and set the standard by which everything else is written. You will work closely with the Head of Brand Marketing and the wider team, keeping the Bluebella voice distinctive, consistent, and commercially sharp across all channels. AI tools, the production team, and the wider brand and ecommerce teams will handle routine copy needs, leaving you to focus on the work that genuinely requires a specialist.
Responsibilities
- Brand Voice & Campaign Copy
- Own Bluebella's tone of voice. You are its guardian across every channel and every corner of the business.
- Conceive and write campaign copy and brand storytelling— the ideas and language that bring each season to life.
- Write hero campaign copy across web, advertising and press, producing the copy pack that informs all channel outputs.
- Review social post copy produced by the Content and Brand team, holding the approval on quality and brand consistency.
- Write and review email copy for key campaigns, working with the CRM team who manage ongoing flows and AI‑assisted drafts.
- Review paid ad copy produced using the campaign copy pack, with AI assistance.
- Produce the campaign copy pack, the central copy reference used by paid search, social, ecommerce and CRM teams across each campaign cycle.
- Write collection page and landing page hero copy; provide QA support on routine pages produced with AI tools.
- Manage the agency relationship on copy best practice, SEO, UX and advertising standards, working alongside the Head of Brand Marketing.
- Specialist Projects
- Write email flow copy for special projects — welcome sequences, key retention moments and brand‑critical automations, with the CRM team managing ongoing flows.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a senior copywriting role, ideally within ecommerce, fashion or lifestyle brands.
- A portfolio that demonstrates range, from brand storytelling and campaign concepts to product and digital copy.
- A deep understanding of brand tone of voice and the discipline to protect it at scale.
- Confident working with AI drafting tools, you know when they help and when they get in the way.
- Strong understanding of SEO and its application to web and marketing copy.
- Comfortable working independently in a part‑time or freelance capacity with minimal handholding.
- Commercially minded. Great copy builds brand voice and drives conversion, you understand both sides of that equation.
- Culturally aware and genuinely curious about fashion, culture and the world Bluebella customers move through.
- Collaborative and clear in your feedback. You make the whole team’s writing better, not just your own.
How We Work
This role is designed to work flexibly. Whether you are in‑house part‑time or operating as a freelancer on a retained basis, what matters is that you are available, responsive and deeply invested in the brand. You will work closely with the Head of Brand Marketing and the wider brand, ecommerce and creative teams. Campaign planning and copy pack deadlines will set the rhythm of the work — with space for creative thinking built in. We offer flexible start and finish times, hybrid working, and the opportunity to work fully remotely in August. For freelance arrangements, we are open to discussing the right working model.
