The Role

Ecommerce growth doesn't happen channel by channel. It happens when the channels work together, and someone owns the number they add up to.

We're looking for a commercially sharp, digitally fluent Growth Manager to lead our digital marketing function during a period of planned maternity leave.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of our Ecommerce team: you'll lead the planning and execution of our global digital marketing strategy across paid social, paid search, SEO, display, programmatic and affiliate, bringing these channels together into one coherent growth engine rather than a set of separate campaigns.

Alongside the Head of Ecommerce, you'll forecast, drive, own and analyse the commercial performance of the Ecommerce channel: not just acquisition metrics in isolation, but the trading number those channels are building toward.

You'll manage agency relationships, hold a significant marketing budget, and lead campaign execution across the UK, US, Australia and mainland Europe (Germany, France, Italy)

CRM, retention and onsite ecommerce sit with our Ecommerce team.

Brand strategy, organic social, content and influencer and creator programmes sit with our Brand team.

Your remit is the paid acquisition and SEO/AEO that brings new customers to site, including upper-funnel paid activity that builds brand awareness on platforms like Meta and You Tube, executed in close partnership with Brand.

This role suits someone who thinks like a trader as much as a marketer: fluent in performance marketing, driven by data, and ready to own the commercial number behind it from day one.

This is a fixed-term contract covering maternity leave, and it's a genuine opportunity, not a placeholder role.

You'll own a live, international growth function with real budget and real accountability from day one, at a pace and with a scope that often takes years to reach in a permanent role.

Who We Are

Founded in 2005, Bluebella was born from a simple idea: to create luxurious, sensual lingerie for self-assured women.

Among the first in a new wave of female-led underwear labels, Bluebella is a multi-award-winning lingerie brand that paved the way for more realistic beauty standards and accessible luxury in the lingerie industry.

Founded on the belief that strength and sensuality belong in the everyday, Bluebella understands that beautiful lingerie sets a powerful tone for whatever comes next.

We believe in bravery – encouraging fresh thinking, taking bold creative risks, and backing each other to push boundaries.

We value intelligence – thoughtful decisions, curiosity and commercial sharpness.

And we lead with honesty – creating a culture of transparency, mutual respect and shared responsibility.

When you join Bluebella, you'll be part of a collaborative team that challenges the norm, celebrates difference, and works with purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of the global digital marketing strategy, covering paid social, paid search, SEO, display, programmatic and affiliate channels.
  • Own and develop channel strategy in partnership with the Head of Ecommerce.

Forecast, drive and analyse the commercial performance of the Ecommerce channel, not just channel-level acquisition metrics, ensuring alignment to commercial targets across all regions.

  • Identify and respond to new customer acquisition opportunities, developing strategies that meet the business's growth ambitions.
  • Keep a sharp eye on the competitive landscape, market trends and channel performance to inform ongoing planning and prioritisation.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of attribution across all channels, using multi-touch modelling and confidently interrogating agency-reported performance and measurement claims.

Distinguish rigorous testing from noise, and know which outcomes to act on (geo lift, holdouts, structured pause tests) to inform budget allocation and channel investment decisions.

  • Work towards clearly defined CAC targets on a per-channel basis, continuously assessing efficiency and scaling what works.
  • Traffic & Acquisition
  • Drive growth in new customer acquisition and high-quality traffic across all digital channels.
  • Oversee the creation, communication and execution of paid campaigns across existing and emerging channels.
  • Lead performance on paid social platforms including Pinterest and Tik Tok, creating and optimising high-performing campaigns.

Own Meta performance, working hands-on during the transition to an agency and managing that agency against clear KPIs once handover is complete.

  • Partner with the Brand team to execute upper-funnel paid activity (for example Meta reach, You Tube, programmatic CTV) that supports brand awareness while contributing to measurable acquisition outcomes, with brand strategy and creative direction led by Brand.
  • Manage external agency relationships across SEO, paid search, paid media, display and programmatic, holding partners to clear KPIs and deliverables.
  • Proactively identify and test new acquisition opportunities across emerging and existing channels, bringing a curious and experimental mindset to channel expansion.
  • Budget, Reporting & Analysis
  • Take confident ownership of a large digital marketing budget, tracking spend and performance against plan.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting on acquisition performance, channel efficiency, new customer acquisition volume and CAC by channel and market, new customer contribution and cohort payback, and progress against growth targets.
  • Lead monthly finance budget meetings, accurately actualising marketing costs.
  • Evaluate acquisition channel success against clearly defined KPIs, making data-led recommendations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal teams including Merchandising, Creative, Brand, CRM and Ecommerce to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and on brand.
  • Collaborate with external partners and agencies to maintain strong, results-focused relationships.
  • Contribute to a positive, high-performance team culture, supporting and managing any direct reports as required.

Skills & Experience

  • At least six years of experience in digital marketing and ecommerce for a retailer, with a proven track record managing large-scale digital campaigns.
  • Experience in Ecommerce Trading specifically: confident owning a revenue number, not only a CAC number.
  • Capable of managing paid performance campaigns and SEO projects, as well as running analytics and reporting independently.
  • Strong command of paid social (Meta Ads Manager, Tik Tok, Pinterest) with a track record of campaign performance and optimisation.
  • Experienced in managing SEO, paid search, display, programmatic and affiliate agency relationships with confidence.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret data and translate insight into clear actions.
  • Confident handling a large marketing budget, with excellent attention to financial tracking and accountability.
  • Deep understanding of attribution modelling and incrementality testing, and their role in informing budget decisions, with experience working towards CAC targets on a per-channel level.
  • Commercially minded, with a strong understanding of customer acquisition economics, payback periods and the levers that drive efficient growth.
  • A natural eye for new acquisition opportunities, always scanning for untapped channels or underutilised tactics, and confident running structured tests to validate them.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong cross-functional and agency management capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Shopify Plus, Klaviyo or similar ecommerce and marketing platforms is an advantage.
  • Experience within fashion or lingerie is desirable.

Package

  • Holiday allowance in line with Bluebella policy, pro-rated for the length of the contract.
  • Flexible Working Policy: flexible start and finish times.
  • Hybrid Working Policy, minimum two days in the office, fully remote in August.
  • Salary Exchange Pension Scheme.
  • Generous employee, friends and family discounts.
  • Office snacks and refreshments.
  • Regular company socials.
