The Role

As Home Manager, you will take full responsibility for the leadership, quality and commercial performance of Bluebell View. You will be a visible and approachable presence throughout the home, bringing colleagues together around a clear vision and creating a culture where people feel supported, developed and accountable. Quality will remain central to every decision you make. You will maintain effective clinical and operational governance, ensure regulatory readiness and establish consistently high standards across residential, dementia and nursing care.

Alongside this, you will lead the home's continued occupancy growth. You will build trusted relationships with families, healthcare professionals, commissioners and community partners, ensuring that Bluebell View becomes a recognised and highly regarded care home within Oswestry and the surrounding area. You will also develop the home's leadership team, strengthen recruitment and retention, manage budgets effectively and ensure that operational and commercial performance remains aligned with exceptional resident care.

This is an opportunity to shape the future of a relatively new home; building on what has already been achieved and turning its considerable potential into long-term success.

About You

You are an experienced, nurse-qualified care home leader with a successful record of leading nursing and residential services. You understand the opportunities and challenges associated with a newly opened or growing care home. You have experience increasing occupancy, building a home's local reputation and developing strong relationships with external stakeholders and referral partners.

You bring a detailed understanding of CQC regulations, clinical governance, safeguarding and quality assurance. You know how to translate policies and expectations into safe, consistent everyday practice and how to create a culture of continuous improvement before concerns arise. You have demonstrated your ability to recruit, engage and develop high-performing teams. Your leadership style is visible, inclusive and supportive, but you are equally comfortable setting clear standards and holding people accountable.

Commercially aware and operationally confident, you understand how quality, occupancy, staffing and financial performance work together. You can interpret information, identify priorities and make well-informed decisions without losing sight of the people at the heart of the home. You will hold an active NMC registration and a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, an equivalent qualification, or a commitment to complete it.

Above all, you are an ambitious and compassionate leader who can see the potential in Bluebell View and inspire others to help realise it.
