At Bluebank School, we're looking for a compassionate, patient and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide personalised support to a pupil with additional needs.
This is a unique opportunity to build a meaningful relationship, helping one young person develop the confidence, independence and skills they need to thrive both in school and beyond.
You'll work alongside an experienced and supportive team, creating a safe, nurturing environment where every achievement—big or small—is celebrated.
- What you will be doing
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support, enabling a pupil with SEND and complex needs to access learning and achieve their individual goals.
- Adapt learning activities, resources and routines to meet the pupil's educational, emotional and social needs.
- Build a positive, trusting relationship that promotes confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
- Encourage communication, independence, social skills and positive engagement throughout the school day.
- Support learning both in the classroom and during outdoor learning, enrichment activities and educational visits.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide consistent, personalised support.
- Monitor progress, celebrate achievements and contribute to individual support plans and reviews.
- Promote positive behaviour and ensure the pupil's safety, wellbeing and safeguarding remain at the heart of everything you do.
