This Social Media Intern role has been tailored to support those who are looking to learn and develop skills in marketing, working towards growing their career in Marketing. Humanities, Media Studies, Communications or Marketing students and graduates, with interest in a digital marketing career, would benefit greatly from this opportunity.

As part of the Blue Zoo Digital team, the Social Media Intern will learn about and assist in managing multiple social media accounts across various platforms, creating engaging content, fostering community engagement, and staying up-to-date with social media trends. This opportunity is for UK based applicants only and we ask that you are a commutable distance to our London Studio in Camden. This opportunity is full time and in a hybrid capacity, so you will be required to be in our studio at least three days per week. To be considered, candidates will have no previous industry experience – this includes any previous internship and paid experience. If you’ve done voluntary work experience, please state this clearly in your CV so we don’t discount your application. Each internship will be paid the London Living Wage of £555 a week.

Day to Day

  • Assist the team to plan, create, and schedule compelling content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to text, images, videos, and stories.
  • Assist with filming and editing videos to produce high-quality and engaging content.
  • Utilise basic Photoshop and image design skills to create visually appealing graphics and designs.
  • Understand how to monitor social media channels for User Generated Content (UGC) and leverage it to enhance brand presence.
  • Research social media trends, tools and best practices.
  • Learn about Meta Business Suite and Hootsuite for scheduling and analysing social media performance.
  • Assist in rolling out influencer marketing strategies.

About You

Must Have:

  • Good communication and organisation skills
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop and image design
  • Willing to take direction and constructive feedback
  • A love for animation and a passion to learn more!

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in filming and editing videos.
  • Knowledge of Meta Business Suite.
