Our Senior Character Toonboom Riggers at Blue Zoo have a strong background in using ToonBoom Harmony and are driven with a passion for problem solving. They are always eager to improve the tools we deliver and support the Lead in rigging characters and complex props. We're looking for an artist to join the team from the end of March and the opportunity runs to early May 2025. We are very happy to discuss flexible, hybrid and remote working options for this opportunity.

Day to Day:

  • Analyse character designs and animatics for rigging requirements
  • Rig characters and complex props
  • Develop character turnarounds, special poses and redresses
  • Boost rig performance with Master Controllers and other Harmony tools
  • Receive, respond and action constructive feedback from Lead Rigger and Animation Supervisor
  • Work collaboratively with the wider rigging team on the production to oversee an episode each
  • Responsible for watching animatics and ensuring all the necessary requirements are available to the animators for their episodes

Must Have:

  • Good knowledge of ToonBoom Harmony and rigging
  • Good experience working within a 2D animation pipeline
  • Ability to problem solve collaboratively with the wider rigging team
  • Very clear, efficient, and effective communication skills
  • Proactive and positive approach to resolving issues under pressure

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in other fields such as animation, compositing, FX and prop rigging
