Our character animators are fantastic storytellers. Their day-to-day focuses on punchy comedic timing, charming acting choices, and meeting production deadlines, while adhering to briefs from our Directors and Clients. Animation is a key part of what makes us Blue Zoo, so we seek animators who can work productively, take direction and feedback, and push the boundaries of TV animation.

We are happy to discuss flexible, hybrid, and remote working options for all vacancies. This opportunity starts on 30th June and runs until November 2025. Please note, the vacancy may close early if we receive many applications.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with a team of animators, and communicating regularly with your Team Lead and Animation Director.
  • Managing your time efficiently to meet deadlines for your assigned shots.
  • Ensuring your work clearly communicates the story, ideas, and acting choices from blocking to final animation.
  • Responding positively to notes and feedback from your Director and Animation Director.

Must Have:

  • Experience on relevant CG series productions.
  • Knowledge of body mechanics, posing, and achieving the best performance from characters.
  • Proficiency in Maya or similar software.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and skills with team members.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
