Our Junior Lighting and Compositing Artists (“L&C”) are talented visual storytellers who define the mood and atmosphere of our narratives, highlighting the charming details of characters, props, and environments. They excel in light, colour, and creative problem solving. Your daily responsibilities include creating lighting for episodes, refining colours in compositing, and balancing high quality with meeting deadlines. Requirements: Based in the UK with the ability to work in our London studio at least 2 days a week (hybrid model). No VISA sponsorship available. Experience with lighting principles and stylised animation. Technical knowledge of 3D lighting in Maya, including different light types, render setups, PBR, ray tracing, and global illumination, preferably with a render engine like Redshift. Understanding of biased rendering, sampling optimization, and noise reduction. Knowledge of colour theory, aesthetics, composition, and camera depth of field. Familiarity with utility passes (Z, Position, Normals) in compositing with Nuke. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in final shot review. Good communication skills, teamwork, and responsiveness to feedback. Ability to work independently, be organized, and manage time effectively.
