We are currently looking for talented 3D Blender Generalists with experience in Modelling, rigging and CFX within the software. This position is for an exciting new project with our Short Form and Commercials team and we’re looking for an artist to start as soon as possible. Our short form team is increasingly integrating Blender into its pipeline.
For this project, we are looking to integrate 3rd party models into our animation pipeline, maximising the existing fbx file information to create character rigs using a combination of automated rigging tools with bespoke rigging solutions. Following this, we need to apply CFX across the character animation in the form of cloth and hair simulations. Our artists are great collaborators, working as a team to share and develop their technical and artistic skills to deliver high quality content for our audiences.

Day to Day- Working as part of the Short Form and Commercials team and regularly communicating between your Team Lead and CG Supervisor.
- Liaising with a wider team to ensure a smooth flow of translating animation into Blender.
- Managing your shots and time efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Problem solving around your tasks, including revisiting assets and animation files to help iron out fixes.
- Acting on notes and feedback from your Team Lead.
- Experience with rigging and CFX solutions inside of Blender.
- Knowledge of automated rigging tools as well as creating bespoke rigging solutions.
- Knowledge of basic modelling, texturing and shader development.
- Creative problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of hair and groom creation and simulation.
- Previous industry experience.
- Knowledge of Python scripting and Blender's Python API.
