The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
Our 3D Layout Artist will work alongside our Director and Animation Supervisor to refine final camera movements and develop the previsualisation of a high-end CG TV series, in line with approved episodic storyboards. This role requires the hired candidate to be based in the UK, outside of London (outside the M25). We are unable to consider VISA sponsorship at this time.

Day To Day
- Working with the Director and Animation Supervisor to build scene set ups in line with approved client storyboards
- Create rough layouts, defining the initial blocking of character animation and cameras within a scene
- Make sure all scenes are working within the required pipeline set up to be delivered to the animation department
- Adapt and refine cameras based on Director critiques and changes
- Liaise with the Storyboard, Assets and Animation departments to create layouts that work towards the Directors intended vision
About You
Must Have:
- Good knowledge of Maya and clean scene set ups
- Demonstrable artistic skills including a strong sense of composition and perspective, the ability to create atmosphere and a good understanding of editing
- Good understanding of cinematography, pacing, timing and general filmmaking concepts
- Knowledge of CG Animation techniques & of CG pipeline
- Can manage their time and work independently, but also work well in a team
- Self-motivated and able to work calmly under pressure, responding well to feedback
- Very strong communication skills
