The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
Our Modelling artists are incredible world builders. They build the environments and props allowing worlds to come to life, and add the charming details that make our stories believable. They are always keen and constantly striving to improve their skills and assets.
Your day-to-day will focus on creating detailed, stylised environments and props based on informative concept designs, whilst meeting production deadlines and that all important brief from our Directors, Art Director and Clients.
The successful candidate will need to be based in the UK and will require the right to work in the UK. Please note that this vacancy can close early if we receive a high number of applications. We are very happy to discuss flexible, hybrid and remote working options for all our vacancies.
Day To Day- Modelling, Sculpting and UV mapping stylised environment and prop assets.
- Effectively realising a 2D concept through to 3D, as well as being able to work with minimal design.
- Providing UV Mapping and baking out displacement maps for our Surfacing Department.
- Producing render tests for the approval process.
- Working as part of a team of modelling artists, and regularly communicating between your Team Lead, Directors and Art Director.
- Managing your assets and your time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Respond positively and act on notes and feedback from our Rigging & Surfacing Department, CG Supervisor, Art Director and Directors.
- Reporting to your Team Lead and Production Manager if there are any issues to flag that would affect the schedule.
- Be able to produce more complex environment assets.
- Mentor other members of the team, if needed.
Must have:
- Extensive demonstrable animation production experience.
- Interpret volume and form when creating models from concept designs.
- Working with modelling tools both in Maya and Zbrush.
- Knowledge of clean topology.
- UV mapping with either Maya or UVLayout.
- Knowledge of texturing assets.
- A team player and great collaborator.
- Creative problem solving.
Bonus Points
- Previous production experience in a Senior role.
- Knowledge of Substance Painter.
- Knowledge of Substance Designer.
