This is a customer-facing role serving as the Training Lead and Trainer. Provide the customer with the knowledge, skills, capabilities and training and playbook assets to effectively manage and implement the Blue Yonder Warehouse Management (WMS) solution. Support the customer in designing, developing, and delivering customer-specific training and playbook creation to support WMS Super Users and Key Users, IT and Implementation roles.
Primary Duties:
- Engage with stakeholders to define training objectives and scope, craft engaging and informative content including Instructor-Led Trainings (ILTs), eLearning modules, job aids, hands-on labs, assessments, and more.
- Work closely with customer Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and relevance of content, collaborate effectively with team members, maintain clear communication with project leads and stakeholders, and apply instructional design principles and models to meet project specifications.
Tools you will be utilizing:
- Utilize tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Articulate Rise, Camtasia, and in-house AI tools and Agents to design, create and maintain training materials.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct thorough training needs assessments and analyses.
- Utilize accepted industry-authoring tools to design and develop technical training materials that adhere to departmental standards across various formats. This includes crafting clear learning objectives, comprehensive courses, interactive hands-on exercises, and effective assessments.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to integrate expert feedback into training materials.
- Design role-specific training and establish clear learning pathways for different audience segments.
- Manage projects from inception to completion and adapt accordingly to changing priorities.
- Align training strategies with the diverse needs of stakeholders, including associates, partners, and customers.
- Adhere to Blue Yonder-approved design standards and templates for developing and delivering all training curricula.
- Review content and offer mentorship to team members as needed.
What we are looking for:
- Around 3 years experience in managing end-to-end content development projects, demonstrating strong project management skills: managing project scope, customer expectations and satisfaction, content quality, and project budget.
- A seasoned professional with around 5-7 years of experience in instructional design, specifically in creating and developing training content using models like ADDIE.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and rapid authoring tools such as Articulate Rise and TechSmith Camtasia.
- 3 years+ of dedicated experience developing technical content, including software simulations and virtual training environments.
- Experience in creating complex technical content for SaaS-based applications.
Content Development & Maintenance:
- Develop and maintain training materials aligned to current product capabilities and roadmap.
- Incorporate practical scenarios to enhance applicability and learner engagement.
- Continuously improve course structure, flow, and effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Product Management and Product Development to stay current on solution enhancements.
- Collaborate with Professional Services to align training with implementation approaches and customer needs.
- Work with Education Operations and peers to ensure consistency in delivery standards and content quality.
Customer Enablement & Experience:
- Translate complex functional and technical concepts into clear, actionable learning.
- Guide customers in applying training concepts within their operational environments.
- Gather and apply learner feedback to improve training effectiveness.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality customer experience across engagements.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement:
- Track key learning metrics, including customer satisfaction, training quality, and adoption outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery, scalability, and learner engagement.
- Contribute to standardization of best practices, tools, and delivery methodologies.
