We are looking for a candidate with experience in either export or import customs procedures – preferably both – who, with the right motivation and interest, is eager to develop a comprehensive understanding of the entire customs field over time. Of course, you will receive thorough training and support to succeed in your new role.
The position is full-time and will involve dealing with our customers and partners handling traffic worldwide by road, sea, and air:
- Customs clearance of goods in the GB Customs online system.
- Preparation of export declarations.
- Management of procedures related to customs warehousing and other temporary storage procedures.
- Preparation of various customs documents.
- Proactively addressing and resolving challenges arising throughout the working day.
- Occasional on-call weekend work.
What We Expect From You
It is important that you have good communication skills in English. Furthermore, we expect that you:
- Have some experience with customs clearance – preferably with Road experience.
- Experience with transport business is an advantage.
- Knowledge of customs procedures, customs systems, and tariff classification of goods.
- Strong IT knowledge.
- Can work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks.
- Always work with the client in focus.
- Are motivated by a hectic workday and sometimes large workloads and deadlines.
