We are seeking a competent and proactive Fire Door Project Manager to support and strengthen fire safety governance and compliance across services. This role requires strong organisational skills, stakeholder engagement, and a thorough understanding of fire safety regulations and standards within healthcare or similar environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance across all fire-related Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities, working closely with service managers.
- Coordinate and facilitate Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), ensuring all identified remedial actions are effectively managed and completed within agreed timescales.
- Prepare comprehensive fire safety reports and attend quarterly Fire Committee meetings alongside relevant managers.
- Collate and present required PPM evidence for bi-monthly fire compliance meetings.
- Oversee the management of passive fire protection systems (including the Bolster system), ensuring contractors complete surveys and remedial works in line with compliance standards.
- Support the monitoring and completion of fire compartmentation and penetration remediation works.
Full support and handover will be provided until the successful candidate is confident in the role.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrable experience in managing people and services.
- Strong understanding of compliance processes and performance monitoring.
Desirable Criteria
- Formal training or qualifications in fire safety (e.g. Fire Management course, IOSH or NEBOSH in Fire Safety, Fire Risk Assessment qualification).
- Working knowledge of current and historic Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) guidance relating to fire safety, including HTM 05-01, 05-02, 05-03, HTM 81 and HTM 82.
