We are working with a leading main contractor renowned for delivering high-quality civil engineering projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Planner to join their team on a permanent basis, based out of their Bridgend office.
The Role: As a Planner, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of civil engineering schemes by producing robust and realistic programmes, working closely with both pre-construction and site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, update, and manage project programmes using appropriate planning software (e.g. Primavera P6 or MS Project)
- Support tendering activities by preparing detailed programmes and methodologies
- Liaise with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather progress updates and forecast future performance
- Monitor project timelines and identify potential risks or delays
- Contribute to project reporting and progress meetings
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a planning role within a civil engineering or infrastructure environment
- Strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing
- Proficiency with planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
