We are currently working with a number of established and growing construction businesses across Newport and the surrounding areas who are looking to strengthen their commercial teams. We would like to speak with Quantity Surveyors at all levels, from ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyors looking to progress their careers through to experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors seeking their next challenge. Opportunities are available across a variety of construction environments, including main contracting, residential, commercial, groundworks and civil engineering.

Typical responsibilities may include:
- Managing project costs from pre-construction through to final account
- Subcontractor procurement and account management
- Preparing valuations and applications for payment
- Cost reporting, forecasting and CVRs
- Managing variations and change control
- Contract administration
- Supporting commercial negotiations
- Working closely with operational and project teams
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
What we're looking for:
Candidates may come from a range of construction backgrounds. Depending on the opportunity, experience within main contracting, residential construction, commercial projects, groundworks, infrastructure or civil engineering could all be considered. Relevant Quantity Surveying qualifications are advantageous, although practical commercial experience will also be considered.
