Blue Water Recruitment are currently looking for a Design Manager in Milford Haven for a main contractor.
Experience of delivering major construction projects, ideally in excess of £60m, would be advantageous.
As a key member of the Project Leadership Team, you will be responsible for managing the design process from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring designs are coordinated, buildable, compliant and delivered in line with programme, budget and client expectations.
Essential
- Experience managing the design process on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of design coordination across architectural, structural and MEP disciplines.
- Experience administering design programmes and managing consultant teams.
- Knowledge of Building Regulations, planning requirements and statutory approvals.
- Ability to identify and mitigate design risks while driving value engineering opportunities.
- Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Architecture, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Desirable
- Experience working under NEC forms of contract.
- EL1 Security Clearance.
- BPSS.
- Experience working within secure or high-compliance environments.
