Are you a motivated, detail-oriented engineer with a passion for structural inspections? Our client, a leading Marine and Civil Engineering company, is looking for a Structures Inspector to join their growing team. Based in Cardiff, they employ specialists delivering a wide variety of access engineering services, including commercial diving, confined space operations, and civil engineering projects across diverse environments.

What the Role Involves
- Inspecting structures such as culverts, bridges, and retaining walls
- Leading inspection teams onāsite
- Producing professional reports, CAD drawings, and defect schedules
- Planning and managing complex, oneāoff projects
What We're Looking For
- Degree qualified (or HNC/HND) in Civil/Structural Engineering or relevant discipline
- Excellent organisational and IT skills, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, AutoCAD
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfort working outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and waterways
- A full UK driver's licence and competent swimming ability
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- Confined space training (training can be provided)
- BICS qualification in progress or willingness to pursue
- Experience in bridge inspection/maintenance and relevant UK standards
- Good physical fitness for walking over rough terrain and working in challenging conditions
