The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to work for our Tier 1 Contractor client to lead the internal fit out of a major new education facility in Cardiff. This is a high-profile project and a key role within the delivery team, responsible for managing the fit out works from design through to handover. You will act as the internal fit out lead, coordinating multiple stakeholders and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the internal fit out package
- Oversee programme, cost, quality and risk for fit out works
- Manage and coordinate contractors, consultants and suppliers
- Work closely with the wider project team, client and end users
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, building regulations and project standards
- Drive progress, resolve issues and report regularly on project performance
- Support commissioning, snagging and final handover
Essential Experience:
- Significant experience in construction project management
- Experience working on education sector projects
- Demonstrable internal fit out experience (this is critical)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes and sequencing
- Able to manage complex programmes and multiple workstreams
- Strong communication, reporting and problem-solving skills
