We're currently looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a busy construction project in Bath. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long term freelance contract on a project where Phase 1 is expected to run for approximately 12 months, with further phases likely to follow.
The Role
You will be responsible for setting out works across a project specialising in drainage and foundations, ensuring all work is carried out accurately and in line with design specifications.
Responsibilities
- Setting out drainage and foundation works
- Checking lines, levels and dimensions
- Working closely with the site management team
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Maintaining accurate records of setting out information
- Ensuring works are completed safely and to specification
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer
- Strong background in drainage and foundation works
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- CSCS card
- Relevant engineering qualification (preferred)
- Own setting out equipment is beneficial but not essential – equipment can be provided if required
