Summary Terms of Reference
Our board includes nine trustees and three subcommittees overseeing People and Culture, Finance, Risk & Audit, and Safeguarding. We seek a trustee with expertise in data governance, digital oversight, and Data Protection compliance to guide our digital transformation, especially in ERP and CRM systems. The role involves strategic oversight of data governance frameworks ensuring compliance, integrity, and ethical standards across regions.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of data protection laws like GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018, and practical experience advising on digital risk, cybersecurity, and data architecture in international contexts. Experience in the charity or development sector is a plus but not required. Familiarity with governance frameworks such as ITIL, TOGAF, APM is advantageous.
