Preferred Qualifications:

Job Goal: To assist in promoting a high‑school baseball program in which the student can excel to their full potential while competing in an atmosphere that adds to their total education, including their physical well‑being, moral character and social and mental development.

Essential Duties & Performance Responsibilities:

  • Follow the instruction and directions of the head coach.
  • Carry out duties such as scouting, timing, scoring, working at games, etc., as directed by the head coach and athletic director.
  • Follow the practice schedule set by the head coach regarding time and content.
  • Instruct and demonstrate baseball rules and techniques.
  • Provide general supervision during practices, matches and community events.
  • Attend meetings called by the athletic director or head coach.
  • Assist with issuing equipment, checking equipment in and out, and help the head coach with inventories.
  • Maintain professional growth through attendance of coaching clinics, and conferences.
  • Assist in tracking and inputting statistical data into MaxPreps.
  • Follow the Patriot League and CHSAA Bylaws.
  • Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the head coach, AP/AD, principal, superintendent and/or the board.

Terms of Employment: For duration of approved athletic season.

Evaluation: Performance of the position will be evaluated in accordance with the board's policy on evaluation of coaching personnel.
