Salary: £24,479 (pro rata) per annum

Location: Oban Solas

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Part Time (24 hours per week)

This role is a nightshift Housing Assistant working in our Oban Solas service, with a 3‑week rota that includes some weekend work.

About You

  • Genuine passion for helping people
  • At least 1 year of experience working with vulnerable people and challenging behaviour (personal, voluntary or professional)
  • Commitment to the Scottish Social Services Council code of practice, National Care Standards, Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care and Associates policies and procedures
  • Empathetic ability to relate to people and recognise their right to choice and independence
  • Flexibility to work as a lone worker
  • Competent use of Microsoft or equivalent applications
  • Ideally hold an SVQ Level 2 or above and willing to work towards an SVQ 3
  • Will register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 3 months of start date and maintain professional learning
