Salary: £30,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience + Regular overtime opportunities are available to increase earnings

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours of Work: Day Shift Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00, Friday: 08:00 - 13:00

About The Role: We're looking for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join the team. Based in a modern, well‑equipped machine shop, you'll be producing high‑precision machined components, working as part of a skilled and supportive engineering team where quality and attention to detail are genuinely valued. This is not a high‑pressure production environment. We focus on producing quality work properly, investing in the right equipment, tooling and people to achieve consistently high standards. As the company continues to grow, there will be genuine opportunities to develop your skills further, whether that's progressing into programming, taking on additional responsibility, or broadening your machining experience across different machines and components.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Setting and operating CNC machines producing precision‑engineered components
  • Carrying out machine set‑ups including tooling changes and offsets
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings
  • Inspecting your own work using measuring equipment and gauges
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
  • Working closely with the engineering team to support continuous improvement
  • Contributing to a clean, organised and safe workshop environment

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a CNC Setter / Operator
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings
  • Experience using measuring and inspection equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high‑quality work
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Experience with Fanuc or similar controls would be beneficial, but not essential
