Blue Tit are looking for a highly skilled and efficient manager to oversee the daily operations of our Dalston salon on a permanent basis. You will have strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills. We seek a stylist manager who has demonstrated outstanding client retention and customer service skills. This individual should be capable of motivating and guiding a team in both creative and commercial aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and support a large team of stylists, assistants and front-of-house staff.
- Create a positive, inspiring salon culture where everyone can do their best work.
- Handle day-to-day team needs regarding scheduling, coaching, training, and performance conversations.
- Help grow and develop future talent within the salon.
- Ensure every guest receives premium, memorable service from the moment they arrive.
- Always maintain salon presentation to flagship standards.
- Oversee smooth running of the salon floor, ensuring everyone is set up for success.
- Manage appointments, team columns and salon flow to maximise productivity.
- Make sure all health, safety and cleanliness standards are always met.
- Look after the salon’s day-to-day finances, including budgets and schedule planning.
- Control stock levels, ensuring the team always have what they need.
- Monitor costs and find ways to run the salon efficiently without affecting quality.
- Review salon performance and help drive growth.
- Lead the team in achieving service and retail goals.
- Support local marketing activities: social media, events, partnerships, etc.
- Introduce new ideas to improve client experience, increase bookings and grow revenue.
- Protect and champion the brand by maintaining top-tier service and presentation.
- Championing salon and team sustainability.
Essential Experience & Background:
- 5+ years salon management experience within a high-volume, premium or flagship environment.
- Proven track record of managing a large annual revenue, meeting targets, and improving year-on-year growth.
- Strong background in luxury client experience and brand standards.
- Experience in managing 15–20+ team members including hiring, onboarding, training and performance management.
- Ability to build a high-performance culture.
- Experience looking after the salon’s finances day-to-day — including budgets, targets, planning team costs, stock control, and making sure the salon runs efficiently.
- Formal training in leadership, business management, or luxury hospitality is a plus.
