Steering fundraising clients and projects to achieve greatness. Looking for an Account Manager experienced in delivering digital marketing projects, to help lead a large global UN account working in partnership with the strategy and creative team. Initially, the Account Manager would be responsible for managing the paid media and creative services in 4 key markets: Denmark, Italy, UK, Switzerland. The Account Manager will be responsible for building client relationships; service and grow the accounts. As they lead programmes and projects, they will manage resources within and outside Blue State to meet the objectives of clients, developing plans to make these objectives possible, setting (and exceeding) expectations.
They will oversee the creative and strategic services we offer clients. They’ll lead meetings—both client-facing and internal—and produce follow-up documentations, project proposals including financials, and scopes for a variety of digital projects. A day in the life:
- Drive leadership on accounts ensuring you have a clear view of clients’ objectives and organisational context.
- Consult with clients on project needs and status, and develop trusted relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Lead projects and wider accounts ensuring we’re adding value in work delivered while continually evolving the partnership.
- Plan, schedule and estimate costs, managing the day-to-day running of creative and delivery teams - facilitating and leading productive teams and conversations.
- Have a clear view on Blue State’s vision, working closely with new and existing organisations to help them understand the value we can add and potential opportunities to work together from first contact to contract.
- Have a finger on the pulse of cutting-edge developments taking place in tech and digital organizing - inviting opinions from peers and sharing our point of view with clients.

Some things we’re looking for:
- 4-6 years of experience in Digital Account Management or Digital Fundraising.
- Great understanding of digital marketing, particularly on paid media, fundraising, content, CRM, or data.
- Must be good with managing multiple projects at once.
- Thrives in fast-moving environments and able to pivot in line with real world events / emergencies / changing requirements.
- Must have a passion and some level of experience with nonprofit/charity fundraising and marketing - ideally through paid digital advertising but general awareness of how fundraising and direct response campaigns work is desirable.
- Problem solving, proactive solution-focused mindset.
- Experience managing and aligning multiple stakeholders; and facilitating meetings.
- Project Management Experience: being able to effectively brief teams and manage multiple projects at once from start to finish.
- Strong communication skills (both internally and externally).
- Great presentation skills (both making decks and presenting to stakeholders).
- Highly organised and detail-oriented.
- Experience working with digital fundraising or marketing for nonprofits.
- Understanding of digital agency processes (either having worked in a digital agency or having directly managed the relationship with the agency).
- Great collaborator with empathy, communication, respect as core values.
- Able to navigate high-level conversations, including difficult ones when needed.
- Experience nurturing client relationships and upselling. Knowing when to challenge clients and spotting opportunities.
