As a field-based appliance specialist, you will be at the forefront of the customer experience, delivering expert support directly in customers’ homes. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of domestic appliances, including washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, cookers, and refrigeration. Working to high standards and strict health and safety guidelines, you’ll ensure every job is completed efficiently and professionally.

This role goes beyond technical delivery. You’ll act as a trusted expert, providing clear advice, reassurance, and a positive experience for every customer. Working closely with both internal teams and end users, your ability to communicate effectively and build rapport will be just as important as your engineering skills.

WHAT YOU’LL BE UP TO

  • Servicing: Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and inspection work on equipment that is within the 28-day purchase warranty window.
  • Repairs: When repairs cannot be carried out on the spot, Technicians may arrange for faulty equipment to be replaced or for further parts to be supplied to arrange a suitable fix.
  • Acknowledge: Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults. Ensuring standards are adhered to for all repair and support activities.
  • Support: You will work closely with your administrator to ensure a smooth and seamless process from start to finish. Inventory management, you will be responsible for managing spare parts van stock equipment and tools.
  • Expertise: Excellent understanding of speed, quality, controls, measures, and procedures. Being able to support customers with all their needs in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
