The Company
This is an exciting chance to join an international food business who produce high-quality, innovative chilled and frozen ranges. With a well-established presence in the UK retail sector and bold growth plans across Europe, they are now seeking a commercially savvy International Business Account Manager – French or German Speaking to support and accelerate their expansion.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of key European retail and foodservice accounts with a focus on major retailers in France, Germany and the wider EU.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll lead the full commercial relationship, from identifying new opportunities and managing tenders, to supporting the launch of new products and delivering long-term growth.
Alongside managing existing accounts, a key focus will be developing new business across European markets. You’ll build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, shape account strategies and use your commercial insight to align with market trends and customer needs.
You’ll also represent the business at international trade shows, customer meetings and networking events, using your market knowledge to influence future product and category direction.
The Person
This is a great role for an Account Manager or Business Development professional with a solid background in the food industry (ideally in chilled, frozen, or added-value categories) who is looking to step up in terms of responsibility and accountability. Experience of UK and European retailers is a must for this role.
You will be adept at building strong customer relationships, developing new business and recognising new business opportunities. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be finely tuned and you will have the confidence and panache to really make an impact in this role.
There will be travel to customers in Europe and occasional trips to Asia.
