The Company
This is an incredible opportunity for a passionate and motivated Food Technologist looking to join a UK leading food business. They supply a wide range of products sourced from across the globe into retail and food service markets.

The Role
In this role, you will play a key member in the technical team. Your day to day will involve managing key retailers and suppliers to ensure both existing and new products are safe, legal and compliant. You will form a deep understanding of a number of products for your customers and be the first port of call for queries, technical hurdles and improvements that may arise. You’ll be managing a number of suppliers from across the world, and you’ll be responsible for auditing, overseeing artwork, specifications and packaging changes and developments. With NPD projects, you’ll take a leading role from a technical perspective, overseeing product samples, benchmarking and ensuring projects are on time, and meeting customer expectations.

The Person
We are looking for a confident Technologist with a Food Science or related qualification with experience within the food industry. You will ideally have worked within food manufacturing, retail or food service and are now looking for an exciting role to enhance your career. You will need strong knowledge of BRC and HACCP as well as retailer codes of practice, specifications, and a good awareness of retailer requirements and legislation changes. Knowledge of retailer systems would be a bonus. Outstanding communication, influencing and relationship building skills are essential as you’ll be liaising with internal teams as well as suppliers and customers on a regular basis. Your attention to detail, organisational and prioritisation skills also need to be top tier to succeed in this cross functional role.
