The Company

This established, yet highly innovative business, supplies delicious food products to UK retail customers. They are now seeking a Specifications Technologist who can support the delivery of best-in-class products, in line with their core values.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in creating, maintaining, and updating product specifications in line with retail customer briefs, ensuring all food safety and legal requirements are met. Working closely with internal teams, you’ll help ensure that specifications meet and exceed quality standards, ready for approval and successful product launches. Part of your responsibilities will include reviewing artwork and pack copy, supporting the label sign-off process, and making any necessary changes to ensure compliance with food safety regulations. You’ll also liaise with external suppliers to confirm that raw materials and packaging meet company standards.

The Person

We are looking for a technical professional who has experience gained from working in a similar role in the food manufacturing industry, ideally within the chilled sector. You’ll need to have a working knowledge of retail online specification systems and nutritional calculations as well as a good understanding of the technical processes of product development. You must also be a team player who can demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and project management skills in order to achieve success in this role.
