The Company A leading chilled food business supplying major UK retailers with high-quality, hearty products. As they look to complete a number of upcoming projects, they are seeking a skilled Supplier Assurance & Raw Materials Technologist to strengthen their technical team. Please note this role is site based, and set as a 3 month assignment. The Role In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all raw materials and suppliers meet our technical, legal, and customer standards. You’ll manage raw material specifications, conduct supplier approvals and risk assessments, and ensure compliance. You’ll work cross-functionally, liaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve non-conformances, maintain traceability, and support technical documentation. You\’ll also monitor industry alerts and contribute to internal audits. The Person You’ll ideally have 2 years’ experience in the food industry, with a solid understanding of food safety, HACCP, and supplier assurance. A Food Science/Technology degree is highly desirable. Knowledge of the latest food legislation is essential, and you must have excellent communication, organisation and prioritisation skills as you’ll be handling projects and liaising with colleagues at all levels. You’ll also need to be proactive yet diligent and be able to use your own initiative to consistently exceed high technical standards.
