The Company
This growing business have an amazing portfolio of premium products and work with a diverse range of customers that include retailers, food service, QSR and coffee shops.
They strive for the highest levels of quality to meet the ever-changing needs of their broad customer base. They are currently seeking a confident, credible and experienced Head of Technical who can make an impact within this multi-site food group.
The Role
Reporting to the Technical Director you will lead the technical function at the largest manufacturing site for the business as well as support other sites within the group. Through the skilled management of your team, you will ensure standards are confidently maintained whilst implementing policies affecting product safety and legality in order to deliver the technical strategy.
You’ll liaise closely with internal teams to support customer demands, combat any issues and reduce incidents whilst enabling teams to deliver KPIs and business objectives. You will also work closely with NPD to launch innovative new products as well as refining existing products to keep up with the market. With your technical knowledge and team spirit you’ll create a positive environment, encouraging the development of personal and company performance.
The Person
This role will suit an experienced Senior Technical Manager / Head of Technical with well-rounded experience gained within the food manufacturing industry. You'll have experience of working with a wide range of customers, understand their requirements and are able to build strong collaborative relationships. Experience of ambient and chilled foods is required along with a comprehensive understanding of food microbiology.
You must also have experience of maintaining BRC standards, ensuring successful audits and driving continuous improvement to achieve excellence. You’ll need to be an inspiring leader with superb team management abilities, along with the skills to influence customers and colleagues at all business levels.
