The Company
This is an incredible opportunity for a passionate and motivated Food Technologist looking to join an award-winning UK food business who supply a wide range of products sourced from across the globe into both retail and food service.

The role
Within this role, you’ll sit at the heart of the technical team, partnering closely with customers and suppliers to bring both own label and branded products to life. As a Food Technologist, you’ll drive development and approval processes forward, as well as building a deep understanding of individual customer product and packaging requirements for several key retailer and foodservice accounts. Within this varied role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating product sampling and benchmarking to project managing new product lines, you’ll be heavily involved in shaping and launching products into the market. With supplier management and factory visits being a key part of this role, you’ll build strong working relationships across the international supply base, keeping abreast of retailer requirements and legislative changes. You’ll be confident in liaising with suppliers to implement any required changes and ensuring products are technically compliant and consistently meet customer expectations.

The Person
We are looking for a degree-educated Food Technologist ideally with experience within the food industry. You will have strong technical knowledge and a clear understanding of HACCP and BRC standards. You’ll have sound knowledge of retailer codes of practice, requirements and systems, along with an awareness of retailer expectations and legislative changes. Confidence in working to detailed customer specifications and ensuring full compliance will be essential. Highly organised and detail-focused, you will be able to manage multiple projects and accounts effectively. Strong communication skills are key, as you’ll be liaising regularly with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
