We are working with an amazing company that supply innovative and delicious products to retail and foodservice customers. They are seeking an ambitious and inquisitive Development Account Manager to join their creative team.
The Role
Reporting into the Development Process Manager, you will work alongside the development chefs and technologists to deliver innovation across different product ranges for key customers. In this varied role you’ll be developing new and existing products within a fast moving sector, anticipating customer briefs and using your creative flair to drive exciting concepts that reflect up and coming food trends. Your role will encompass all stages of innovation from idea generation and development to consumer testing, factory trials and full scale launch to market, ensuring category innovation goals are achieved according to the company’s commercial vision. You’ll be refreshing existing ranges where you’ll develop and adapt recipes to improve taste, texture, quality and cost whilst managing suppliers to ensure budget objectives are met in line with business strategy. You’ll also work with key customers on a daily basis, keeping them updated on the critical path and product progress, ensuring expectations are met all the way to guarantee the continued success of this forward thinking food business.
The Person
Suit a creative, tenacious and credible Senior Technologist/ Junior Development Manager who has experience of working in a manufacturing environment and is looking to increase their level of responsibility in a customer focussed role. You'll have a proven track record of driving the development of new products where you have delivered persuasive presentations and established great relationships with customers. You'll need to have superb interpersonal and communication skills coupled with a resourceful and flexible approach to the NPD process in order to deliver successful NPD projects.
