This role will be instrumental in strengthening site standards, supporting production and embedding a culture of quality excellence.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Technical & Sustainability, you will play a key role in safeguarding product quality, food safety, and compliance across the manufacturing site. Working closely with both Technical and Operations, you will ensure systems are robust, standards are upheld, and teams are supported to deliver at pace.

  • Partner closely with Operations to ensure all products meet food safety, legal, and quality requirements at all times
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Quality team, driving accountability and high performance across the function
  • Manage and continuously improve site quality systems, procedures, and technical processes
  • Take ownership of audit readiness, ensuring the site is prepared for BRC and customer audits
  • Act as a key decision-maker on quality and food safety matters, providing clear guidance and escalation where required
  • Oversee and strengthen internal audit programmes including GMP, hygiene, fabrication, and traceability
  • Drive effective non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Play an active role within the HACCP team, ensuring verification and compliance of all critical controls
  • Ensure consistent product assessment and release processes, maintaining product integrity against specifications
  • Work cross-functionally to support product launches, performance tracking, and technical projects
  • Champion a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost.

The Person

This role is well suited to a motivated and detail-driven quality or technical professional in the early stages of their career. With around 3+ years’ experience in food manufacturing, there will be a strong foundational understanding of food safety systems including HACCP, GMP and site quality processes. Likely to be degree educated in a food-related discipline (or similar), with a keen interest in quality, process improvement, and manufacturing excellence.

Equally important is the right attitude. This opportunity would suit someone who is curious, driven, and eager to learn: a real “go-getter” who takes initiative and enjoys being hands-on within a fast-paced factory environment.
