Developing products within the chilled sector you’ll be responding to customer briefs and using your creative flair to drive exciting new concepts that reflect up and coming food trends. Your role will involve developing new and existing recipes into commercially viable products, working closely with the NPD Chefs and assisting the Process team to scale up production trials to ensure quality is of the highest levels. You’ll also review and approve all documentation to support this process.

You’ll ensure product concepts are operationally feasible, scalable, and meet critical path timelines, escalating risks as needed. You’ll be supporting the Chefs to create recipes, work with suppliers to source new ingredients, meet commercial parameters, weight and nutritional requirements, whilst also being consistent with customer and food safety requirements.

In addition, you’ll work closely with the commercial team, conducting range reviews and benchmarking your ideas against competitors. Presenting this internally and to customers, you will demonstrate good market and food trend awareness to achieve product approval that ensures you are streets ahead.

We are looking for an ambitious food graduate who has gained valuable NPD concept to launch experience within a dynamic food manufacturing environment. With a proven track record of developing concepts for the UK retailers you’ll be able to demonstrate your excellent project management skills in order to launch successful products into the marketplace.

You’ll need to be foodie, love working multiple projects and interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
