A personal assistant is required to assist with admin tasks (like reading and sorting out letters, sending emails… ) , shopping, housework, food preparation, hospital appointments and going out in the community
Support needed will include:
Mondays (10:30am-12:30pm) for Meal preparation, Cleaning/tidying up/putting things away and changing the bins, Changing beddings and ironing.
Fridays ( 10am-12pm) - Shopping at a supermarket (she prefers Sainsbury\'s) /local shops, Attending social activities within the community, Managing paperwork/correspondences/ help with paying bills, Help with online applications. E.g applying for benefit and responding to government agencies where applicable, attending medical appointments, and Providing emotional support.
There may be some occasional swaps for call times. For example, a Monday call may be swapped for a hospital appointment as hospital appointment may take longer than expected.
Hours / days: 4 hours a week over two days
A caring and empathetic person who can be flexible in their approach . An experienced personal assistant is required to support a disabled lady with sight and hearing impairment , a mild learning difficulty and living with a mental health condition which is under control and manageable
The lady is in her 60s , she is a sociable person. She loves to listen to the radio and LBC in particular . She likes going for walks . She also likes to attend courses and learn new skills , especially academic skills like English and Maths or IT skills
