Summary
We are seeking a young, down to earth male personal assistant to support a 15 year old boy in engaging with the community, accessing transport, and participating in social activities. The role involves supporting the individual in a safe and active lifestyle, with a shared interest in basketball.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To support me to safely access the community by using my car and by using public transport.
- To help develop my confidence and social skills. I have a catheter fitted but am fully independent with this. I have a shunt fitted that does not require care but needs careful monitoring. There is a 4 hour window to access medical attention if the shunt fails. My mum will explain all details; watch for changes in behaviour as a key symptom of shunt issues.
