Here at Blue Skies Education we are working in partnership with a primary school trust in Enfield facilitating education in a mainstream setting which includes children with SEND profiles. These children present behaviours that can be challenging and they need additional support and care in their school life in a mainstream setting so they can flourish in an inclusive learning environment. Often the children will have a background of trauma, adverse childhood experiences and/or be neuro-divergent e.g. ADHD, ASC.

We are looking for graduates who have an interest to maybe become a teacher and would like some hands-on experience to understand the role and gain experience. You will become a mentor for these children, supporting and inspiring them each day. It’s a truly unique opportunity to change the lives of the children you work with and help guide them through some of the most challenging phases in their young lives.

Ideally you will be a graduate as this opportunity offers significant experience for a graduate to build their portfolio for future training in education, teaching and psychology/psychotherapy fields. This position will begin via Blue Skies Education as an agency worker but will present the opportunity for a permanent contract directly with the school if the temporary period is a success for you, the school and the students.

If you are compassionate, confident, inspiring, a skilled communicator with a genuine interest to make a difference for children (who really need it!) that will supersede a lack of direct experience in a similar role.

Some more info:

  • Hours: 32-35hrs per week, day shifts over Mon to Fri
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: Indefinite, could become permanent
  • Location: Enfield

You will need:

In return we offer a huge opportunity of a permanent contract, significant experience to build your CV/portfolio and a highly rewarding job in education.
