Their work powers some of the most complex facilities in the country, making this a high-visibility opportunity for professionals looking to work on impactful projects in a rapidly evolving field.
They are seeking a BAS Estimator – Building Automation & Controls with deep experience in BAS and DDC systems. This fully remote role involves supporting end-to-end estimating across a nationwide portfolio, focusing on accuracy, adaptability, and self-sufficiency. Be part of a rapidly growing team that values expertise, autonomy, and innovation.
Work alongside thought leaders who value forward-thinking and continuous improvement.
Focus:
Develop and deliver comprehensive cost estimates for BAS/DDC systems, including material takeoffs, labor calculations, and subcontractor pricing.
Interpret construction documents and MEP plans to identify control system requirements and integration strategies.
Lead full-cycle estimating processes for projects up to $2 million in scope.
Collaborate with business development, engineering, and procurement teams to produce competitive and accurate proposals.
Interface with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing, ensure value, and drive cost-effective solutions.
Present estimates to internal stakeholders and occasionally participate in client-facing proposal discussions.
Maintain thorough documentation and hand off finalized estimates to project execution teams.
Skill Set:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating building automation or controls systems.
Demonstrated success in independently generating estimates for BAS projects without reliance on Siemens, Schneider, or other proprietary automated tools.
Proven track record managing estimates up to $2M in size.
Strong working knowledge of multiple BAS/DDC platforms and environments.
Exceptional analytical and documentation skills with a focus on accuracy and clarity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating tools; able to adapt quickly to new software platforms.
Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Traits
Background in estimating for data centers, healthcare, or mission-critical infrastructure.
Familiarity with value engineering practices and alternative control system strategies.
Ability to thrive in a growth-stage, innovation-driven culture.
