Job Description
The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing, in tandem with the Senior Assistant Manager, all aspects of the Front of the House operations to ensure a seamless and profitable dining experience. This includes managing staff, controlling costs, maintaining high-quality service standards, and maximizing overall efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction by maintaining high standards of quality, service, safety, and profitability.
- Supervise, train, develop, and motivate the team.
- Resolve discrepancies quickly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all related regulations such as those pertaining to Health & Safety and AGCO.
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Carry out administrative functions pertaining to hiring, scheduling, payroll, performance reviews, mentorship, corrective actions, and discipline.
- Maintain inventory controls and budgets while monitoring costs.
- Oversee planning of events and maintain vendor relationships.
- Perform other related duties as the need arises.
Qualifications
- Strong food service background is required.
- Experience as a manager/supervisor of F&B in a hotel, restaurant, or events-based venue is helpful.
- Beverage program management experience including strong knowledge in cocktail development, ordering, inventory control, spirits, and beer, as well as some level of wine certification such as WSET or the Caps program is an asset.
- Leadership experience in a high-volume food service environment.
- Trained in W.H.M.I.S., Smart Serve, NFSTP, ServSafe or equivalent.
- Solid understanding and practical knowledge of industry principles and service etiquette.
- Ability to communicate, motivate, and lead effectively.
- A proactive approach toward day-to-day activities and shifting demands.
- P & L knowledge and ongoing awareness.
- Shown to perform well under pressure; balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ongoing awareness and responsiveness to client satisfaction.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
