We design, install, and maintain the full spectrum of security technology from high‑definition CCTV, access control and intruder alarms to complex automated gates and barriers. We're looking for a motivated Security Systems Engineer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who's hands‑on, eager to learn, and looking for a long‑term career in a growing industry.
Roles and Responsibilities- Installation, testing, commissioning and servicing of various wired and wireless intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, door hardware, mechanical, electrical locking systems and automatic doors.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
- Provide technical support to customers as needed.
- Keep accurate records of all work completed.
- Travelling to new and existing customer sites in different environments.
- Provide a callout response for the client as per an agreed callout rota.
- Provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction.
- Take a pro‑active approach to problem solving and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary.
- Always comply with company policies, health and safety legislation, site rules etc.
- Work in public sector, education, commercial, construction sites and domestic premises.
- Familiar with SSAIB/NSI standards and codes of practice.
- Must be an experienced Security Systems Engineer.
- Installation, service and commissioning on security systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Need to gain a clear enhanced DBS check.
- British Standard BS7858 security check.
- Knowledge of security systems installation techniques, equipment and tools.
- Electrical qualifications (desirable).
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends where required.
- Current CSCS card would be desirable but not essential.
