About the Role
- Provide high-quality support to people we support, ensuring their personal needs, daily living, and social activities are met.
- Follow person-centred care plans, ensuring ongoing review and updates in collaboration with management.
- Administer and accurately record medication in line with procedures.
- Ensure service users access the community, attend medical appointments, and develop independence.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring high standards of hygiene and personal care.
- Accurately complete daily records, incident reports, and other key documentation.
- Support individuals in managing their personal finances and maintaining relationships with family and professionals.
- Follow company safeguarding policies, escalating concerns appropriately.
Additional Responsibilities as a Senior Support Worker
- Mentor and guide support Workers, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to provide high-quality care.
- Oversee daily documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to supervisions and performance reviews of Support Workers.
- Organise and lead shifts, ensuring responsibilities are clearly allocated and completed.
- Identify performance issues within the team and elevate where necessary.
- Take responsibility for daily audits to ensure the service meets regulatory and company standards.
- Ensure policy and procedures are followed at all times, acting as the first point of contact for guidance and escalation.
- Assist with new colleague inductions, including agency staff.
- Participate in the Senior on-call rota, providing additional leadership support when needed.

- Background in health and social care, with a strong understanding of best practices.
- Ability to problem-solve and use initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
- Proven ability to follow and maintain company policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the service, including participation in an on-call rota.
- A Health and Social Care qualification.
- A valid driving licence.
- Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker.
- Experience working with external care professionals.
- Experience in complex and challenging environments.
