Deputy Manager to join our team and support the delivery of exceptional care to individuals with

Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health needs in Southport.

This is a key leadership role where you will work alongside the Service Manager to ensure high-quality care, regulatory compliance , and the ongoing development of staff and service standards . If you're ready to take the next step in your care career, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Deputy Manager, you will

  • Support the Service Manager with the day-to-day management of the service.
  • Ensure the service is appropriately staffed and operates in line with individuals' assessed needs.
  • Oversee and maintain regulatory compliance

(CQC, H&S, Safeguarding) and contribute to internal audits.

  • Support with recruitment , onboarding, induction, and training of new staff.
  • Manage supervisions, appraisals , and day-to-day performance of team members.
  • Promote a positive and transparent working culture and model best practice across the service.
  • Ensure person-centred care plans are regularly reviewed, up to date, and reflective of individual needs.
  • Provide direct care and support when needed and lead the consistency of care across the service.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders , including families, healthcare professionals, and commissioners.
  • Monitor and support financial performance , including rota management, petty cash control, and budgeting tasks.
  • Use internal systems including People HR, Deputy, Nourish, Radar, Iplicit, and Job Train to maintain accurate records.
  • What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Willingness to work towards

Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care.

  • Experience supporting individuals with
  • Autism, Learning Disabilities, or Mental

Health conditions.

  • Strong understanding of

CQC, H&S, and Safeguarding regulations.

  • Experience working in complex care environments.
  • Confident in people management, team leadership, and performance management.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and IT skills.
  • Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Preferable

  • Hold a

Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care.

  • Knowledge of community engagement, mentoring, and change management.
  • Financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation experience.
  • Advanced IT and systems management skills.
  • Awareness of diversity, inclusion, and cultural understanding in care.
