Blue Recruitment Personnel is recruiting an experienced Registered Home Manager / Registered Service Manager to lead a newly refurbished, purpose-built nursing home supporting adults with complex needs. This is a senior leadership role suited to a confident CQC Registered Manager who can take full operational ownership of a specialist service, drive quality and compliance, and foster a calm, person-centred culture. The service supports working‑age and older adults with neurodegenerative conditions, mental health needs, acquired brain injury (ABI/TBI), physical disabilities, and behaviours that may challenge. You’ll be supported by experienced regional, clinical, and compliance teams while retaining genuine autonomy over day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operational and clinical management of the service, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care
- Act as the CQC Registered Manager, maintaining full regulatory compliance and governance standards
- Drive the service to achieve and sustain a minimum "Good" CQC rating
- Provide strong leadership to nursing, care, and support teams through supervision, appraisals, coaching, and performance management
- Oversee staffing, rotas, recruitment, retention, and workforce planning
- Ensure robust care planning, safeguarding, risk management, and incident reporting processes
- Maintain oversight of medication management and clinical governance
- Coordinate service user reviews and maintain strong relationships with families, commissioners, and external professionals
- Work collaboratively with regional, clinical, and compliance teams to embed continuous improvement
- Participate in a shared out-of-hours on-call rota
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a CQC Registered Home Manager / Registered Service Manager within nursing, mental health, or complex care settings
- Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, inspections, and quality frameworks
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, including nurses and support staff
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills
- Confident with audits, safeguarding, risk assessment, and service improvement
- Ability to balance clinical quality with operational performance
- Desirable: Valid NMC registration (RGN / RMN / RNLD)
Salary & Benefits
- £65,000 per annum
- Full‑time, permanent contract (37.5 hours, Monday–Friday)
